Litter by Aragorn planned for 2009 (to be bred by Fenborders)

Background

Jess has been lightly shown in breed and has her gold Good Citizen award. She is currently working Grade 3 agility, having won through from Elementary and has her Bronze Agility Warrant. She had a litter to Aragorn two years ago, from which Fenborders kept two puppies, Gus (Fenborders The Stig) and Jazz (Fenborders Jazzmatazz), bringing the total of dogs in the Fenborders household up to four — they have also kept Welly (Fenborders Northern Lights) from Jess's first litter. Gus is going to start competing in agility shortly (watch out for him at Godmanchester!), while Jazz has been going to breed shows, and qualified for Crufts first time out at 6 months. Everyone has been very pleased with this litter: all pups are very trainable, and as you can see on the previous litter page, they are gorgeous! Aragorn's details can be found on his webpage, but he is my main man in every way: a great agility dog (Grade 6), fast and tight turning, an obedience dog (winning out of Novice before I decided to let agility and showing Gala take priority), and he has done well in the breed ring even with limited showing (it's just not his thing). He has also been introduced to sheep while in the US, and it is amazing to see a Border Collie work on pure instinct (it can't be anything else — I've never worked with sheep before, so I have no idea what I'm doing).

What we expect

While this litter is planned for late 2009, it is possible that it will end up taking place in 2010 — Aragorn is currently in the US (while we are staying there for a year), learning to herd sheep etc, so it is a question of whether we return in time for Jess's season. Either way, puppies will happen :) We have a pretty good idea of what we expect to get this time, having already had pups from this combination: we expect black & white puppies, which will be suitable for any dog sports, or even breed showing. The puppies will be raised in the home, and be exposed to all the usual noises and things, as well as being used to children. If you are interested in this litter, please contact Teri giving her some information about yourself, and make sure that you include a phone number in your email.
